The SL Superloop™ Accumulator is ideal for small and medium size mills. The patented overspeed feature produces large amounts of usable storage. Flexible entry and exit points allow for installation in new or existing lines. This accumulator can handle material from about .03″ thick up to .312″ thick and line speeds from approximately 50 FPM up to 900 FPM.
The unique design of the Guild Superloop Accumulator eliminates scratching of bright or coated strip and is ideal for applications where strip surface condition is critical. Reverse bending of the strip is also eliminated, decreasing stress on the strip. The Guild Superloop currently supports carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and other special alloy processing lines all around the globe.
Complete entry systems from Guild International can be customized to accommodate your line needs. Commonly included in our entry systems are our double arm uncoiler, outboard coil retainer, speed funnel, shearwelder, and accumulator. Any item may be added or subtracted from this list to better suit your needs.
Variable AC motor-driven entry pinch roll is driven through a square gear arrangement, providing consistent roll contact for all strip thicknesses.
Anti-friction bearing mounted hardened helix rolls prevent strip deformation.
Split table design allows for overspeed capability, providing extra storage for high-speed lines.
Controls automatically cycle through 3 modes: weld mode, fill mode, and mill match mode.
The SCA Supercoil™ Horizontal Strip Accumulator is used on medium and large pipe mills. Large amounts of usable storage is available. The SL Supercoil can be installed in new or existing lines.
